Oliveira Ocean Winchline

Oliveira produces high quality ropes made of a special polyolefin blend which achieves high efficiency in breaking strength. The materials used also provide an upgraded abrasion resistance and flotation capabilities.

The winchline is a rope composed by a load bearing core (high strength) and by a non-load bearing cover that confers protection to the rope.

  • Material:  Mixed polyolefin (core) and High Tenacity Polypropylene (cover)
  • Construction:  12 strand + jacket
  • Melting point:  140ºC
  • Specific gravity:  ± 0.93
  • Chemical resistance:  Good 
  • Resistance to abrasion:  Very Good
  • Flotation:  Yes
  • Water absorption:  No water absorption
  • Flexibility (Ocean Winchline):  Low
  • Rope identification:  Orange marker yarn
  • Testing method:  Based on ISO 2307
